Rihanna is one of those people who always knows how to pull off red lipstick. No matter how edgy or bold her look is, her make up is always flawless. If you notice in my pictures (or if you know me in real life) I’ve definitely been embracing the red lip. Part of it is due to this lady here. She definitely knows how to get her rock star on. As a huge ALICE + OLIVIA fan, I’m ecstatic about their recent collaboration with MAC. The Alice + Olivia MAC collection includes bright and fun takes on MAC faves like Dazzleglass, Nail Lacquer and Pigments. My two favorite items – So Rich So Pretty nail lacquer and Partylicious pigment are already sold out. If you like what you see, act fast. Items in the collection between $12 and $20, which is pretty reasonable. All the more reason to indulge in this collection.

This week is Couture Fashion Week in Paris and Vivienne Westwood’s efforts shined out of the many collections shown. I loved the makeup they used on their models. Bright, colorful and eclectic, the make up isn’t perfect but still makes a statement. (Which to me is the Westwood aesthetic.) It’s one of the few times I’ve seen fun on the runway, especially in Paris. Lately, things have been so serious and uptight when it comes to couture or high fashion. It’s good to see someone stepping outside of the box and lightening up the mood.

If you’ve seen any recent pictures of me, you’ll know that I’ve been embracing lip color & lipstick thoroughly. However, the CLINIQUE VITAMIN C LIP SMOOTHIE ANTIOXIDANT LIP COLOUR has become my favorite beauty item of the summer! It feels great, it’s light, still gives you color AND it’s actually good for your lips. With the gloss containing Vitamin C, it keeps your lips smooth and healthy. I’ve been embracing a light summer lip so my favorite shade is “Nude-tritious.” If you love a nude lip gloss, this is an excellent color.



Even if you love deep colors, this is great. I did a friend’s make up for her wedding about a month ago and she wanted a deep, very Old Hollywood lip color. I used “Absolute Acai” on her and she loved it! Definitely one of the products you should use this summer.

The other day, I came across the awesomeness that is Ginger + Liz. Their colors are bright, fun and best of all organic and vegan friendly. (more…)

Since relocating to Atlanta, I’ve noticied an overwhelming trend of super long hair or a mere short cut. It seems as the in-between style is non-existent.
