So…much has been going on. Like a lot. And it’s funny because I truly believe that there is a lack of Mattie here on MATTIEologie. And so, I’ve decided to fill you guys in and give everyone a larger peek into my life. So, if you don’t care for me, naturally this wouldn’t be the place for you. (Hence, the name.) (more…)
With my birthday coming up in less than two weeks (whoop, whoop!) I thought it was only appropriate that this month’s issue be about happiness. I think it’s a concept that’s thrown around loosely and if any of us have it we should be thoroughly grateful. Remember how happy the playground and/or the park used to make you when you were a kid?! Wearing some fantastic shades from House of Adrene in Castleberry Hill.
Last week, I hosted Fashionair with fashion stylist OLORI SWANK and URBAN SUITE ENT at the fantastic boutique, HOUSE OF ADRENE. Miss Swank provided guests with styling tips while boutique owner Adrene Ashford entertained guests and customers. The boutique is now in a new, larger location (formerly Noir) in Castleberry Hill. From accessories to rompers and dresses, it was easy for customers to empty their pockets that evening. They’ve got some strong silhouettes and colorful frocks, perfect for the summer! With a price point between $20 to $200 and a great location, House of Adrene is sure to be the go to spot for great pieces. (Another plus: They’ve got menswear, too!) See more pics from the event and how I changed my outfit 4 times without changing my dress. (more…)
Come out for a night of fashion and networking next week. Fashion guru Olori Swank, Urban Suite Ent. and yours truly will be hosting FASHIONAIR: Fashion Soiree & Networking Event on May 11 at House of Adrene. Be sure to RSVP at rsvp@mattieologie.com.
My take on the fist pump, what’s deserving of it and what my personal fist pump is. (The commissioner I speak of is Commissioner Sonna Singleton of Clayton County. That’s a BAD woman.)

I danced until my hair was frazzled and boogied the night away. I laughed, I cried, I danced and I conquered this thing they call a wedding. It’s wasn’t perfect…but it was all the imperfections that made it the best. (more…)
