So, I’ve been shutting the brow pencil game down if I do say so myself. And now I’ve managed to get my hands on something that I’m sure will take my brows and beauty regimen to the next level: Clinique’s NEW Instant Lift for Brows.

What I like about this is that instead of a pencil, the Instant Lift is more similar to a crayon. It’s softer and you don’t have to press hard which means you get more use out of your product and more bang for your buck. The other side of the “crayon” is a highlighter to enhance the shade of your brow just a notch. It’s like taking your brows to the next level. For us Clinique ride-or-die’ers, the highlighter side of Instant Lift is very similar to (if not the same thing) the Touch Tint for Eyes they once had. If I’m not mistaken, they no longer have it

Anyways, Instant Lift can be yours for $15.

You’re welcome.

I feel like everyone is still hiding in black in NYC while she busted out the white blazer and lace dress. I love the hair down and beaucoup necklaces. It works for me.

The bag? Eh. But I’m not going to hold it against her.

The other day it was 70 degrees. It was the first time of this year that I truly realized spring couldn’t come soon enough.

Spring just makes you feel better. You start to wear lighter clothes – in color and weight – and the weather seems to be easier and breezier. People are friendlier. Outside is brighter. The grass is greener. And quite frankly, there’s more sunlight throughout the day. It just seems as if days are a little bit longer, but in a good way. By the end of it, school will be out. Pools will be open and that frigid memory of February is close to non existent. But the reality of a scorching July is just a couple months away. My birthday is in the spring but even if it wasn’t, I would still love it. Because it’s that perfect medium between February and July. The end of everything hard and the beginning of everything go-with-the-flow.

What’s your favorite thing about spring?

Last year, The Hills star Lauren Conrad got folks up in a frenzy with her multi colored nails caught in a paparazzi pic. Many people liked it and even a few LOVED it but I didn’t see anybody rock it. Now, I’m not saying that because LC did, we all should but I thought it would become a great trend that many would follow. I know I did at least. I call this look “ombre nails” because the color is supposed to go from lightest to darkest starting with you thumb (or vice versa with the pinky like Lauren.) I tried this look last summer with purple and it was quite fantastic. I’m bringing it back for the spring. Just find four like colors (pink to red, gray to black, etc.) and create a gradient look. Try it out and let me know how it goes!

You’re welcome.

Kate Bosworth blew me away with this look at the Montblanc Charity event the Weinstein Company held during Oscar weekend for UNICEF. The actress wore a kaleidoscope of a Peter Pilotto dress with some fantastic satin nude pumps. Here’s why this works: it’s daring and unexpected while still effortless. The silhouette isn’t typical but when all is said and done it still has the appeal of a classic sheath dress. And let’s face it – color always gets our attention. And that’s exactly what Kate did.

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy couture: I love this color. I want to love this dress but it’s hard to. Something is a little off about it. Maybe if the front closed or flowed a bit better I could love it, but until then – no. I appreciate the hair and her skin looks radiant.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel couture: She’s one of my favorite people and I thought she looked good. Not many people (on Twitter) were fans of the hair but I loved it. I thought she was fabulous per usual.

Vera Farmiga in Marchesa: Seriously, it impossible to lose in Marchesa. I loved the ruffles, the pleats, the color – she popped out of the audience. You couldn’t miss her in a dress like this!

Zoe Kravitz in Alexis Mabille: I like. The young trendsetter came with her rock star father and really shined. This dress works because it’s age appropriate and still makes a statement. Love it!

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab: I’m sort of on the fence with this look. I mean she looks great but I’ve seen this before. I can’t put my finger on it yet, but before it was said I knew this was Elie Saab and it had recently been down someone’s red carpet. Her stylist should have done their homework. Because we all know that in red carpet rules, a repeat is unforgivable.

Jennifer Lopez in Giorgio Armani Prive: Very well done. Definitely the statement maker of the evening. It was like she was trying to tell us, “In case you forgot, this is what I do.” Point made. OBVIOUSLY.

Kate Winslet in Yves Saint Laurent: Simple. In any other situation, this may have been too laid back but she was just a presenter and we know that when Kate wants to bring it, she does. The hair and HER NECKLACE were flawless.

Meryl Streep in Chris March: Yes, that’s right. That Chris March. From Project Runway. UPGRADE. Meryl looks great. The cut was flattering and white is in this award season. Two fashionable thumbs up.

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa: Ladies and gentlemen – the winner of the best actress Oscar and the best dressed of the evening. She gave me life. The side swept hair, the rouge pout – it was all very old Hollywood glamour. Which was perfection.

Paula Patton in Carolina Herrera: Talk about glowing. And as far as I’m concerned, she wins for best use of color. It wasn’t blue or nude or even safe. Especially as an expectant mother. She owned this red orange, off the shoulder mermaid silhouette.

Cameron Diaz in Oscar De Le Renta: Incredibly feminine and refreshing. Not sure if I was fully convinced with hair and make up but the dress was strong enough to make me not notice as much. Rachel Zoe still knows what she’s doing.

Carey Mulligan in Prada: All black everything. It’s really hard to do it wrong. I like. The short, light hair and bare neck so we could all see her dripping in her Fred Leighton diamond earrings. They were HANDS DOWN my favorite accessories of the evening.

Demi Moore in Atelier Versace: Wow. Wow. And more wow. I feel like there were many ruffled, nude/peach colored ensembles throughout the evening but she pulled it off best. Whatever this woman is doing to look this good at her age, she needs to bottle it up and sell it. Oy.

Gabourey Sidibe in Marchesa: Listen here. Gaby shut the red carpet down. This dress? The hair? Her make up? All on point. Extremely glamorous and you can tell that she was enjoying this unforgettable evening. And Oprah gave a speech on her? Quite fantastically fantastic if you ask me. I’ve said before and I’ll say it again: Marchesa = WIN.

Actress Amy Smart brought spring with her to an Oscar event last night when she donned a floral print strapless dress. With her hair pulled back, a rouge mouth and some gray peep toe pumps this look was really smart.
Sorry. I couldn’t help the obviously cheesy pun.
