It’s been very interesting trying to keep my personal style consistent with this new baby bump. Pants don’t quite fit anymore and even if they do, YOU JUST DON’T WANT TO WEAR ANY.

Thankfully, I’ve always been the kind of girl who’s liked dresses and as a pregnant blogger they are going to be my saving grace. When I found out I was pregnant, I started buying dresses that were a size or two bigger instead of buying maternity clothes. Mostly because I can get them taken in after I have Baby and/or they’ll be easy to sell.

I scored this cute sequin chevron dress at Francesca’s. It has a racerback can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories. I paired it with my RACHEL Rachel Roy booties and my black ZARA bag I got a few seasons ago. The oversized black vest was a perfect touch in my opinion because it added dimension to the look versus just wearing a dress. I’m just getting the hang of this “dressing while you’re pregnant” thing but I think I’m gonna pull it off.

  1. Dresses were my saving grace while pregnant. I bought one pair of maternity jeans but for the rest of the time I wore non-maternity dresses in stretch fabrics. Towards the end however, I did pick up a few maternity tee shirts by Liz Lange Maternity at Target – because the belly hanging out from under the shirt thing was just not the business! I can’t wait to see more looks from you in this new stage of your life! Congratulations again, motherhood is EVERYTHING and more that you image it to be.

    Hi Mattie,
PLease lose the habit of carrying those big bags while you are pregnant. They put a lot of pressure on your back and you can transfer the pressure from you back to your cervix.
