Um, yeah. It’s been freezing as of late. Yes, even here in Atlanta. It was 48 today but the wind will make you believe otherwise. It’s hard to coordinate blogworthy outfits in this kind of weather but someone’s gotta do it. I’ve gotta say, I’ve always liked the look of my Helmut Lang coat I scored at TJ Maxx not too long ago, but I love it even more its function now.
If there is a secret to dressing to weather like this, it’s layering. But layering with pieces that won’t suffocate you in the case it does heat up. Cotton tends to do the trick because it’s breathable, but has enough weight it’ll keep you warm. Especially if layered. Even my coat is cotton. Which is a life saver.
I cannot believe that we’re coming towards the end of Cotton’s Road to the Runway. *starts humming Boyz II Men’s ‘End of Road’* There’s only 4 finalists left each region and we need you guys to vote for your favorite. Each region winner heads to South Beach for the Cotton 24 Hour Runway Show, but you have the chance to win $1,440 just for voting. Reason #875498 you need to head to the site and vote. I’m so excited. This will be my first visit to Miami.
I’ve been a busy bee lately. Miami in 35 days for #cotton24hours. NYFW in 14 days. The blog turns 3 on Tuesday. (Celebrate with me tomorrow.) And I’ll be making some new additions to the blog and working on some other cool new projects. I’m taking risks. Calculated ones of course. Throwing caution to the wind. But after that, jumping in head first. Will everything be perfect? No. But the goal was never perfection. It was always greatness.
