If you’re like me you ate waaaaaaaay too much during the holidays. Drinking was involved too. Luckily, I’ve been pretty active and have cranking up the cardio within the last month or so. Above is my “so far” picture. I’m headed to Miami for the first time ever come March, so I’ve become quite the smoothie criminal.
I’m really into kale & spinach. Both are great sources of protein (spinach trumps kale, though) and while I don’t drink coconut water I add it to my smoothies and it’s quite delish. Below is one of my favorite recipes I thought I’d share. FYI, I use the the Magic Bullet blender for everyday morning smoothies, but sometimes I make more than one at once and my regular blender is perfect for that.
KALE-TASTIC SMOOTHIE RECIPE
2 cups/handfuls of kale
1/2 cup of frozen organic mango
1/2 cup of pineapple chunks
1/4 cup of blueberries
1/2 cup of coconut water
This will make 2 healthy servings. Perfect for you and a workout buddy.
I’m getting back into my smoothie and workout groove. I said no to ice cream last night. I dropped a single thug tear. But when I get to Miami for Cotton’s 24 Hour Runway Show, I need to look like “Good God, girl!” I can’t believe we announce the finalists next week.
