Mattiepalooza & Style Bloggers of Color Conference

In celebration of my birthday (May 29), I’ve always wanted to have a 3 day weekend event called Mattiepalooza. First of all, I was just elated that my name worked in conjunction with the suffix “-palooza”. While I had the idea 2 years ago, this year was finally the time I thought it was right.

This year, Mattiepalooza will bring you the Style Bloggers of Color conference live from Atlanta, GA in June 2012. The weekend will include 4 spectacular events over the course of 3 days with fabulous sponsors and a marvelous keynote speaker. When I held the “Bold, Beautiful & Blogging” NYFW mixer in February, I noticed how excited and enthusiastic bloggers were for celebrating the diversity in the style blogosphere. Not only that, but brands were ecstatic to reach that audience. I figured taking this idea to the next level and creating a dynamic atmosphere + the opportunity to network with brands for my fellow bloggers would be what I wanted most for my birthday.
