If shows weren’t enough during fashion week last week, then luckily fabulous mixers like Cocktails & Couture exist. Hosted by Lianne Farbes of The Makeup Girl, Cocktails & Couture was not only a mixer, but a certified party. The DJ was amazing – had good tunes blasting (old and new alike) – with an open bar sponsored by Hpnotiq. And any place with a candy bar is to be highly celebrated. From bubble gum to sugar crystal lollipops, it was the perfect souvenir to a fun evening. And we haven’t even gotten into the “couture” part yet.
Oasis Day Spa was there giving gorgeous manicures while Ulta Beauty was in the back giving marvelous makeovers. It was sort of like a style bloggers dream come true. Everyone had a camera and was giving out genuine compliments. A total win-win situation. The gift bags were impressive of course, with treats from tarte cosmetics (in love with their lip gloss!), Aveeno (hello calming lotion I can’t live without), Hpnotiq and much more. Lianne was a gracious hostess, working the room and making sure each of one us was taken care of. I don’t have to be an expert at NYFW parties to know that’s how you’re supposed to throw one.
