It has been a whirlwind of a month. 2012 has been nonstop. When I arrived back from New York City on Tuesday, Hubs had pleasantly surprised me with a night at the High Museum in the city. After thinking about it for a while, I realized that I have NEVER been to a museum. (Nope, not even in grade school for a field trip.) So I was pretty excited to not only see him but look at some art, grab some dinner and some drinks. He sprung the news on me in the morning before I left NYC, so I had to come up with an outfit out of my suitcase. Luckily, I had this amazing vintage red polka dot skirt from Lily Kai and some new shoes from ZARA. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but I’m really into looking like a lady. Feminine silhouettes, popping colors and complimenting accessories have really tickled my fancy as of late. I also couldn’t get enough of my Mel Boteri loan. The Boteri bag is everything.
The evening was lovely and we attended the exhibit, Picasso to Warhol, where we saw amazing pieces of art. I was completely blown away. So refreshing and inspiring. At the end of the night, they gave away my favorite rose – the Sonya rose. (They made up my bridal bouquet.) It was a great night in great clothes with a great guy. And if you ask me, that’s a fantastic Valentine’s Day.
How did you spend (and dress for) your Valentine’s Day?
