If you follow me on Twitter, then you know I took a day trip to Nashville with my dear friend, Shay. I was really excited because I had never been before and I love going to new places. The food was fantastic and there were so many laughs! We went shopping for pageant dresses and attended a friend’s album release party at BB King’s. Such a good time. Take a look at how my trip went:
Not too much of a coffee girl (only in extreme situations) but totally enjoyed my Naked Berry Blast on the way to Nashville. Instant energy booster and it’s good for you!
We stayed at the Renaissance in downtown Nashville and our view was amazing. We could see the Bridgestone stadium. (Wished we went to the game…so pumped football season is back!)
I’m all about being comfortable when taking a road trip. (Nashville is only 3.5 hours from Atlanta!) I threw one of my favorite thrifted dress with some Nine West sandals and my H&M purse and my go to Ray Bans. Comfortable can still be comfortable.
How cute is the name of this store? Retropolitan is cute decor store in Nashville.
Didn’t get to go in because we were on a dress mission, but I thought the display window and name were adorable. I’m a sucker for great brands with great names.
In the evening, we headed to a friend’s album release party at BB King’s. I didn’t really know what the atmosphere would be like so I opted for a dress. I always opt for a mauve H&M dress (with Bakers sandals). It’s universally feminine and it’s always safer to be overdressed than under dressed. Anytime.
My good friend Shay is a brilliant attorney and a contestant for Miss Black Georgia USA. I’m coaching her for the pageant and we got some dress shopping done while we were in Nashville. I’m pretty excited to say we found THE dress. I will definitely be keeping you all posted. (Trust me, it’s gorgeous!)
How fantastic were her wedges she wore on Saturday night? Wanted to snatch then off her feet!
Overall, I had a blast in Nashville. If you ever get the chance, check it out – such a charming city!
