When I first laid my eyes on this Lanvin Spring 2011 harness & insect brooch I was blown away. However, I did have my reservations on how it would look on a red carpet. Could anyone other than a model on a runway pull this off?
Well, fast forward to when Blake Lively wore it on the red carpet and blew us all away. She pulled Lanvin off beautifully, effortlessly and I was then convinced that yes, indeed you could wear it well off the runway. But then one of my favorite models – Chanel Iman – wore it for a magazine spread and took my breath away. So I’m kind of torn – you really can do no wrong in this Lanvin concoction.

definitely definitely chanel iman! blake is a gorgeous girl, but chanel is rocking this dress like there’s no tomorrow. blake’s whole look just isn’t doing it for me. i feel like she’s just wearing it the exact way she saw it on the runway with the hair pulled back and everything. i get no personal style out of her look, she didn’t make it her own.

I really loved it on Blake because I saw it on her first but Chanel did truly make it her own. Obviously this is a fabulous ensemble from Lanvin so it almost always will look good, but when you personal style on it, it looks great! My vote’s for Chanel.
I love that harness edgy but pretty!
