The lovely Carey Mulligan hit the red carpet for the NYC premiere of her new film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, looking chic and sophisticated. The new “it girl” actress wore a NINA RICCI FALL 2010 RTW ROSETTE CENTER BLOUSE WITH SHEER BACK and a NINA RICCI FALL 2010 RTW SILK RUCHED PENCIL SKIRT. I absolutely love the simplicity and sophistication of this outfit. The colors are perfect for the season and I enjoy the way the black contrasts with mauve. The fact that the back of the blouse is sheer is clever. Makes it interesting. I’m also a fan of the “‘almost bob” hair. Not sure if any of you remember, but when Carey first hit the scene, she had a pixie cut. I’m totally feeling how it’s growing out and I even appreciate seeing the little bit of her roots. I’m not a matchy-matchy type of girl so I certainly would have appreciated her YSL TRIB TWO PUMPS in gray versus black, but you can seldom go wrong with black. I’ve been looking forward to seeing this movie and someone just tweeted that it was disappointing. I’ll be the judge of that.
