In exciting fashion news, Brian Atwood has joined forces with Jones Apparel Group – who brought us RACHEL Rachel Roy – to release a new line of affordable shoes. B Brian Atwood will be released next fall to higher end department stores and boutiques. Shoes will range between $200-$500 and eventually accessories and ready to wear will be added in seasons to come. (Atwood is also said to be working on a ready to wear line under his signature line as well.) After stints at Versace and more recently, Bally, Atwood’s resume and taste level are enough proof that B Brian Atwood will be a success. His shoes have become a staple on the red carpet and for Hollywood’s biggest fashionistas. (Remember, Sarah Jessica Parker donning the Loca pump while filming SATC 2?) The designer was just on The Rachel Zoe Project designing a boot after the stylist herself for his collection. With no confirmed designs, we can only anxiously wait for what’s to come. However, the logo is said to be a “b” written in lipstick. Fancy. With a new more affordable line, adding accessories and clothing to his brand, it seems as if Atwood is next in line to build a fashion empire.
