After being denied to be included as part of the inaugural event last year, yesterday it was announced that Atlanta would in fact be included in Fashion’s Night Out on Sept. 10! After numerous attempts of their own fashion week and gaining respect as a contender in the fashion world this gives Atlanta the haute boost it needs. Mayor Kasim Reed made the announcement at City Hall while donning a Tom Ford. Mayor Reed will be participating in FNO ATL as a host at Neiman Marcus where he’s known to have “done some damage.” 75 other stores have signed up, including boutiques and stores in popular Atlanta spots like Atlantic Station and Buckhead. The purpose of bringing FNO to Atlanta? To get people into the stores of course. So, get your New York Fashion Week’s best on and put a little Atlanta twist and get ready for Sept. 10. There’s going to be lots of shopping and fashion goodness going on.
Will I be there? Oh you Bankhead bounce betcha.
