The 2010 NAACP Image Awards were on Friday night in Los Angeles. Singer Keri Hilson, who won for best new artist, was hands down best dressed. This black Rami Kashou (who I loved on Project Runway) dress with the huge rosette is perfect. There are just no words for this dress. This has look of the day potential had there been different shoes (open toe, perhaps?) and an old Hollywood take on the hair. Nonetheless, she looks beautiful.
Keke Palmer in BCBG: Amazing. The color, the fit, the flow. Her stylist gets two thumbs up. It’s young and fresh while still being appropriate for the evening.
Taraji P. Henson in Herve L. Leroux: Great. Simple always wins. She’s effortlessly gorgeous so this works for her.
Garcelle Beauvais in Pamella Roland: LOVE! When it comes award shows, people are usually afraid of color and I love that she wasn’t. This is fun, the color truly brings out her complexion and I love the accessories and hair. Easy going.
Anika Noni Rose in Ysa Makino: This dress is a DREAM. And this was just her first look. I think she had five changes altogether that evening. (Perks of being the host.) This however was my favorite.
