As I was going through my pictures, I came across some Christmas pictures, I never shared because, well…I was trying to get the new Mattieologie up and running for YOU! But these were too cute to not share. Above is the love of my life, my niece, Deanna. At that very moment, she was saying “Cheese!” PRICELESS.

Also, during Christmas I baked my first pound cake from scratch. This was the result. DELICIOUS. I’m not sure how I pulled this off but it”s safe to say this is the best pound cake I’ve ever encountered. And not just because I made it. Just look at the picture. I’ll share the recipe later. Maybe.

My niece again, who had taken a liking to my purse while we were shopping. Isn’t their some kind of “cutest kid ever” contest I can submit this to?

Singing karaoke at my friends’ Torrence & Erica’s house. They have this glittery mic that always draws me in and I start singing along with MTV Jams or VH1 Soul. It’s good stuff.

Out and about with my friend, Shay and her artist, Maclyn who is a rising star. Fun times! Tried the red lipstick apprehensively, but it worked out. Red lips will be my look for February.
