
Imagine that. What you put in your body is by far more important than what you in your hair, on your skin or your body. These following 10 foods will make you not only feel fantastic but have your hair, skin and body looking fantastic too.
1. COCONUT OIL
After reading tweets from @Hairlicious on Twitter, (check out her awesome blog) I learned that coconut oil works wonders on your immune system, is great for your heart and of course makes your skin and hair shine. Taking a tablespoon of this daily will definitely add to you becoming your better self.

2. SALMON
Aside from being delicious, salmon provides us with Omega 3. For balanced health we need both Omega 6 and Omega 3. We tend to get much of Omega 6 and lack in the other. Great sources of Omega 3: salmon, walnuts and oils. So what are the benefits of salmon and omega 3? Well, salmon is high in EFA (essential fatty acids) which is good fat. It’s totally unsaturated fat and protects the heart. Your skin literally illuminates when you consume salmon.

3. GRAPEFRUIT
This citrus fruit burns fat. Actually, most citrus fruits act as fat burners but especially the grapefruit. It’s great to eat right after a meal because it will keep the metabolism going burn unnecessary fat. So it’s essentially the best. thing. ever.

4. BERRIES
Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries are all extremely high sources of antioxidants. Antioxidants = anti-aging. They help keep you feeling and looking younger while protecting you from diseases. Plus, they’re tasty.

5. WHOLE GRAIN
FYI. Whole grain is different from wheat. Whole wheat is different than wheat. Many times “wheat” carbs are just as bad as “white” carbs. So make sure you see the word “whole” to make sure you’re getting quality food. Whole grain includes brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole oatmeal and popcorn (NOTE: not the bright yellow extremely salty kind). These foods are high in fiber, iron and antioxidants as well. Not convinced? Folks who consume more whole grains weigh noticeably less than those who don’t.

6. LOW FAT DAIRY
When they say low fat dairy that excludes milkshakes and Rocky Road ice cream. Instead, it refers to yogurt and low/no fat milks and cheeses. Studies show that when you consume these regularly you’re less likely to have high blood pressure and less likely to be diabetic if you’re a woman. And since it’s low fat, your body is better and looks…well, try low fat dairy for 21 days and you fill in the blank.

7. WATER
This one is a no brainer. Water is good for your body, skin and hair. Naturally, because our is 70% water so we have to keep it hydrated. Did you know that without changing your diet but consuming 8 glasses a day will make slim you out? No, really? Try it.

8. NUTS
The oils in nuts are great for your skin. Walnuts and almonds are great sources for essential fatty acids, while pecans have antioxidants. Nuts contain healthy fats, protein and minerals – which all work wonders in our health. Eat them fresh or roast them in a sauce pan for flavor.

9. GREEN TEA
Hmm, where to start? Burns fat, prevents cancer, lowers cholesterol, contains antioxidants and maintains good health. Oh yeah and it keeps you warm. Take that.

10. BEANS
They’re good for your heart. High in protein and delish with rice. INSANE amount of fiber which counter calories. (If you consume 2000 calories but 14 grams of fiber, your calorie count drops to 1600.) Less calories = less weight. Which equals, beans are good!
