Uniqlo unveiled the Spring/Summer 2010 collection of their +J line. The 60 piece collection was designed by Jil Sander and pieces range between $45 and $200.
According to WWD:
Sander was closely involved in the conception of the line from start to finish, even carefully instructing a renowned Italian mill on the exact specifications of the fabrics she wanted.
A large percentage of the collection is made of tech-satin, a soft blend of cotton and a synthetic fiber, such as polyester. Design themes include “iconic simplicity,” “natural nobility” and “clarity and lightness.”
The entire collection was filled with colorful button-ups, bubble vests and cotton shirts in shades of blue, violet and gray. As Uniqlo is looking to Sander to really expose the brand, her role will eventually lead to other aspects of the brand.
